Just go back a few years onwards, in earlier ages mostly people living in villages with joint family. Their income sources were dependent on agriculture. In the village mostly all the family have hens. It was a household business. Even some families have more than 100 hens. They sell the eggs and mutton, out of this money they manage their day to day expenses. People enjoying their lifestyle without depended any one for eggs and chicken. People love to have hen every house. Directly it was supporting financially for that family.
Value of Eggs
In 1999 I bought a Bajaj Scooter with the help of LIC and was very happy. I took this to my village in Odisha. One good day was when a village coming from the market met with an accident near my village. It was a female hen who was producing eggs. Some people were there and held me and demanded Rs. 3000/- compensation for that hen.
I said if it is approximately 2 kgs, per kg Rs. 50/- then to pay Rs. 100/- it was my decision. These people explain to me if 5 days of holiday in a month produce 25 eggs in a month, per egg is Rs. 2/- means per month 50 and per annum 600, And this hen life is 5 years , so you have to 3000 rupees.
Income Generates
This hen was the main income source to that family, they sell these eggs and manage their family day to day expenses. With your mistake hen has died, you are responsible for that family financial problem not for one or two days, they have to suffer for a long period. So I realize the accident and the importance of how that hen is for the said family.
Every one should realize how the hen is important to that family. Even every family has hen, minimum one and produce egge like (Income).
My Responsibility
Moral of the story, each and every family has a Murgi/Hen (Earning Member), either one or more. With our income the whole family enjoys their lifestyle and day to day expenses. To replace our income it is possible with insurance, LIC is a brand name in every family in India, but sorry to say we have taken insurance it may be one, two or few lakhs. When the earning member dies, his/her incomes also die.That time their family members realize the importance of insurance. It is too late.
Like village people demand for next five years income, so think over it, have we secure our 15, 20 or 30 years income to come, but we may secure only two, or three years incomes. Imagine what your income is, expenses, income may stop but our expenses go on.
